Complicated people. Considerably more complicated lives.
I have a habit of creating complicated people and making their lives considerably more complicated.
Sometimes that means surviving a war on an island ruled by vampires. Sometimes it's an academic rival who absolutely refuses to stop being annoyingly perfect. And sometimes it's crossing the seas in pursuit of a very personal vendetta.
Different worlds. Different stories. And plenty more still waiting to be told.
With one battle behind him, Zane's journey carries him beyond Sekari — and toward secrets buried deep within his family's past.
Explore Sekari→Two academic rivals would rather beat each other than understand each other. Unfortunately, they're getting dangerously good at both.
Meet Nathan & Aurora→Some people take to the sea in search of fortune. Connor has something far more personal in mind.
Set sail with the White Ruby→The war is over. The druids lost.
Two months after vampires seized control of Sekari, Zane Voss is believed to be one of the last of his kind. Haunted by everything the war took from him, he wants little more than to survive the world it left behind.
But when the past refuses to stay buried, Zane is pulled into a fight that will force him to decide how much he's willing to lose for a world that has already taken almost everything.

Hey y'all! I'm Sky Kaye, a writer based in Vienna with a habit of creating fictional people, getting far too attached to them, and then making their lives considerably more difficult.
My stories tend to wander between genres. Sometimes that means post-war fantasy and an island full of vampires, sometimes university students turning academic competition into something far more complicated, and sometimes pirates chasing secrets across the sea. What connects them all is what I love writing most: characters. Their relationships, their flaws, the things they carry with them, and the people they find along the way.
The Last Druid, my first completed novel, is currently making its way through the querying trenches while I continue writing its sequel, Rising Tide. At the same time, I'm slowly bringing two very different stories to life with I'd Hate To Love You and Know My Name.
When I'm not writing, I'm usually all up in some music, gaming, spending far too long thinking about stories I haven't written yet, or somehow finding another idea to add to the list.
This website is a home for all of them — the finished stories, the ones still taking shape, and whatever comes next.
“This story won't follow the usual rules. Because I've bled for this. And I'm telling it my way.”
